Barbay Consulting has over 20 years industry experience in custom SoC Architecture, Verification, Cycle Accurate/Behavioural Modeling, and Embedded Firmware. From ARC’s early days, the Barbay Consulting team has worked successfully with many ARC Cores for many different types of products (Digital Still Cameras, USB Audio Players,etc) using all of it’s tools including MetaSim Co-Simulation. Single Point Source ™ is a proprietary tool that Barbay Consulting has designed and developed. SPS ™ uses a single point of definition: a simple XML dialect of registers TAGS to be used within an ASIC/SoC/FPGA product. Non-XML engineers can understand and use these tags within minutes. SPS ™ auto-generates all of the multiple output files necessary for register usage: Register Transfer Language (RTL), embedded firmware code, documentation, and validation testing software is generated in minutes and can save days due manual generation. SPS ™ is a development discipline where the outputs dependent on a register change will be updated and synchronized automatically. The Single Point Source ™ tool currently produces customized ARC MetaWare Debugger XML. Barbay Consulting also offers customized MetaWare debugger extensions. Barbay Consulting is a Reviewing Member of the SPIRIT XML Consortium.
